Day Two: SA Bodyboarding Champs

The second day of SA Champs started off with the Drop-Knee divisions, followed by the Grand Masters and Ladies heats. Sadly conditions deteriorated with the low tide and the event was called off until 1pm when the waves improved with the incoming tide The afternoon was awesome with 3-4 foot A Frame peaks offering the Boys, Masters and Ladies divisions conditions to have some fun! Some standout performances on the day were Slade Staunton (SKZN) riding in his first SA Championship seeding second in the quarter finals and Robin Neary (SKZN) dominating the first two rounds of the series and a favourite for Ladies final. The competitive spirit of the contest is high and, with favourable conditions, the rest of the week is set to make for thrilling board-riding!
