The first heat in the water was the Pro Division and Darren Halse opened up the 2004 trials with a perfect 10. After taking off on one of the sets he set his line and smacked a huge ARS landing back on the wall to bust a roll through the doubling up close out. That wave set the scene for the rest of the day with all of the riders, even the boys braving the paddle to the outside and busting out on the powerful groundswell. Thanks to all the ladies who helped and to Craig Geddes our head judge. Next trials are at Umzumbe on the 9th May.2014 views
