South Coast Classic

With the first 2 events on the
SABA calendar behind us already and all the top competitors vying for that
number 1 spot in their respective divisions, riders head up to the balmy,
tropical paradise that is Southern KZN for the 3rd stop, the 15th annual South
Coast Classic!
The only warm water stop on the
tour, everyone loves making the pilgrimage to the small town of Margate, where each year
the beaches light up with huge swells and loud tunes. Always an incredible
showcase of bodyboarding in bigger surf - riders never hold back, aiming to hit
the biggest sections and get the crowd on the beach going wild.
With the event being run as a
roaming venue between Margate,
Lucien, Uvongo and Saints there will definitely be awesome action going down in
the water. We might even get to do some skimming run-out.
Previous year's winner, Stephan
Du Preez , will be back to defend his title along with top competitors, Luke
Kitchen, Nik Martin, Mark McCarthy, Michael Ostler, Iain Campbell, Terence
Pieters, Tristan Roberts and Matthew Lombard. The competition is going to be
tough and for those guys who want to do well in their GQS ranking they will be
more focussed and driven than ever.
The incredible companies that
are supporting this contest are Coca Cola, Koko's nightclub, NMD/VS, Maniac
apparel and Zion
wetsuits SA. Everyone has come to the party in their own way to make for an
