Itec Group SA partners with SABA

ItecGood news for the bodyboarding in South Africa for 2006 is that Itec Group SA will be partnering up with SABA in offering a healthy discount on all it's line of Konica Minolta office products, and then taking up to 40% of the profits from any deal bodyboarding brings to the table and reinvesting that money straight back into the sport.

As an added bonus, the first person to bring in a referral that secures a sale of R50000, or a rental contract of over R1000 on either Itec's office products or CCTV surveillance camera systems, will also win a custom Rossi bodyboard worth over R1000, a pair of swimfins, boardcover, rashguard and baggies! A generous offer that should tantalize the tastebuds of a lot of bodyboarders out there.

The deal has been put forward by Kevin Pearman, who was one of the top competitive bodyboarders from Natal in the 90s, and whose best results include winning the 6A rated Coca Cola Classic in the Juniors at North Beach in 1999, SA's biggest bodyboarding contest to date.

Kevin is still an active bodyboarder, and now business partner within the Itec Group, a powerful South African company, but he still has the simple interests of the sport at heart- "Being an old competitor of the sport and hopefully a future one, I have thought through a few options which will help the sport financially - allowing administrators a few more options.

Looking at the sport in a business manner, I have summarized ways in which to help the sport grow again financially.

With your support in business by either the rental of new/demo copiers, printers, fax machine,CCTV Surveillance Systems, even an outright cash purchase on these products, or the option of putting us onto referrals for this type of business, we will be able to support your cause, by donating funds to the SOUTH AFRICAN BODYBOARDING ASSOCIATION.
"

What is Kevin offering?

"Any new business brought in through SABA will get a 25% discount (Surveillance Camera's & Copiers) and up to 40% of the profits will be allocated to SABA for every approved signed contract (installed)."

Itec Group is one of the premier office equipment suppliers in SA, offering some of the most sophisticated machines money can buy, as well as a strong emphasis on service and sales follow up. They also provide and install CCTV surveillance cameras for businesses, or wherever extra security is needed, and as we all know, in South Africa these days, that's an essential. An excerpt from their website, www.itecgroup.co.za, reveals the following:

You simply can't lead if you follow, can't innovate if you imitate - our philosophy is as simple, and as challenging, as that. Our corporate colour is orange not only because it reflects the energy and vitality of our culture but because no other word even dares to try. We don't just sell products, we sell document solutions for businesses. A great product is nothing without a great company to deliver exceptional customer service and support. Being quality-obsessed and providing turnkey solutions - that is what makes a difference and what makes Itec different. Itec is a solutions company not a "box dropping" one. Itec's focus is on providing total document solutions and not merely the supply of document output machines. Orange is unique - like Itec itself. Itec S.A have won international distributor awards in the past 5 years since we started with Konica Minolta Japan

‘97 Distributor of the year – 1st Place. Gold Course
‘98 Distributor of the year – 1st Place. Platinum Course
‘02 Distributor of the year – 2nd Place. Diamond Course
‘03 Distributor of the year – 1st Place. Diamond Course

Born of the vision of South African entrepreneurs in 1991, Itec distributes a complete range of quality, international brands of copiers, printers and fax machines. Itec is now an industry powerhouse with over 600 staff, 65 offices in South Africa alone and an annual turnover of over half a Billion Rand.

With over 18 000 clients in industries ranging from food processing to financial services to retail, Itec understands the specific needs of a wide variety of industries and businesses.

Itec's blue-chip client list includes:
Anglo • Avis • Bell Equipment • Cashbuild • Clover • Deutshe Securities • DHL • Eskom • FNB • Grintek • Harmony Gold • ICL • Impala Plats • Irvin & Johnson - I & J • Johnnic Publications - Struik • Kimberley Clark • Liberty Group • Metropolitan Life • Old Mutual • Protea Hotel Group • South African Breweries • South African Reserve Bank • Spoornet • Standard Bank • Technikon S.A. • TelkoM

Impressive stats, and the South African Bodyboarding Association welcomes the opportunity to work with Itec. However, to all bodyboarders out there, its up to us to turn this opportunity into real money ... so any of you that have any needs for office equipment, or have friends or family in a business environment, or have a need for CCTV surveillance systems, make sure you put the word out, and think Konica Minolta for all your equipment needs ... it will come back to bodyboarding, and is a chance for you to invest in the future of your sport in a big way. Itec Group do millions of rands in business each month, so for SABA to tap into their profit share could put us on the right track to having some big events in 2006, or even our long overdue and first ever international world tour event. Let's put bodyboarding up there where it belongs in the international sports arena, and show the world we have some of the best bodyboarding talent around.

This is a very good opportunity for any SABA members to contribute to furthering our sport in SA. If anyone has family or friends whose business needs require the services of a company such as Itec or if you can sell your employers on this then ask them to consider choosing or changing to Itec - a company which is supporting our sport.

This relies on you - the riders - selling this initiative and potentially this could bring in some good money to our sport.
