Surf spots Hermanus area?

Hi guys,

I'm going to be in Hermanus, or more specifically De Mond Park area over Xmas. I don't know the area at all but I know we staying next to the lagoon/river mouth. Any decent spots just around there?

Any input will help!

Stay away from the lagoon area - LOTS of sharks!

Voëlklip beach / Kammabaai / Langbaai are pretty much the spots there. All mediocre beachies but sometimes fun in the summer on lowtides.

Still, worst case scenario you can just hang on Voëlklip with all the hotties around this time of the year.

Thanks dude, Voëlklip is right there by Grotto beach right?

About 600m further past Grotto. The actual surfspot is to the far right of the little bay (looking toward the ocean), near a rocky point.

But don't go expecting Indo. It really is mediocre, but surfable nonetheless.
