ATD bodyboards is introducing one more unique buying feature for its customers to check out. This is not a once-off special offer, but rather an innovative way of making it possible for bodyboarders to have the option of a small quiver of boards for different conditions, rather than just being stuck with a '
one-size-fits-all' board.
There is an almost unlimited set of variables in our sport that might influence your decision on what board you want to ride on any given day. However, owning a full quiver of different boards, sort of like many pros possess, is often an expensive option, at least if you want a quality product.
Now, exclusively available at the ATD website, you can buy two brand new boards of your choice for R2000, total – no VAT, taxes, or other hidden costs – and the deal includes free delivery to anywhere in South Africa!
Some of the quiver options you might consider:
We offer boards in both warm and cold water flexibility grades: you can order a stiffer board for warm waters, such as you’d find in Durban (temperatures that average around 20C); or a more flexible board for colder waters, such as in Cape Town (water temperatures around the 12-15C mark). This is also a great idea for guys that compete around the country, and have to compete in both warm and cold waters in the same year – now you can have a board optimized for either/or, instead of trying to make your cold water board work in warm water, or vice versa.
Another scenario might be if you would prefer to have a bat tail and regular tail for different surf conditions – this would be the easiest way to do it.
Or you might like to do a lot of prone and DK, but prefer to have a board that is more specifically suited to one or the other, instead of having one board that does both fairly well, but does neither as well as a prone-specific or DK-specific board.
Those are just a few examples, but you may have your own ideas of a quiver, such as one board for your favourite heavy reef breaks, and another board for the mellower beachbreaks you surf.
