Hey all ...

Well, with the contest waiting period beginning this last Monday we are all holding thumbs for a swell to hit!

Some weird swell has been hitting Kalk Bay for the last few days and confusing a couple of us as to why there has been swell on the reef at all! The swell charts have been showing hardly any swell, yet Kalk Bay has had some pretty fun but small days.

Firstly, on Wedneday the 16th, there was super glassy 2-3ft perfect waves with just 2 of us out, trading wave after wave. Then a solid SE wind blew in False Bay on Friday 17th, Making the swell real bumpy but the swell had jacked abit in size. Saturday the 18th, saw the wind switch back to offshore and the waves were a good lined up 2-3ft. Loads of fun.

The next solid swell hits Cape Town on Wednesday evening and swings into the SW direction which, if the size and power of the swell is good enough , could produce the waves we are looking for to run the Kalk Bay Shootout.

	amp amp amp... the winds sketchy this week peter... onshore. Monday seems to be the day, but as we all know magic seaweeds long term forcasts are pretty dodgy. Imagine the BWA and the Kbay shootout goes down on the same day. Hopefully all the stand ups will migrate to the sentinel for the day to go watch the carnage.

	As we speak the atlantic side is allready massive with the new swell... just needs some offshore on it to clean it up... tomorrow could be a cracker!!! ... f/bay... hmm... doubt it for now, perhaps later in the week? Red bull might run monday.

	just checked magic seaweed.... looks like the wind aint playing ball this week...all kukky south/south east. Monday is looking promicing..19ft/14sec/wind=wnw.... mmmm swell is SW.... maybe.....
