Less than a Month until the Biggest Pay Day for a Bodyboarder in the History of the Sport in SA

There is less than a month to go until the biggest ever pay day for a single bodyboarder in the history of the sport in South Africa. The Anytime Holiday Rentals Xtreme Bodyboarding Showdown has attracted entries from the nation's finest competitors. The bodyboarding event will be one of the highlights of the South Coast FeverX Games in Margate and runs from December 13 - 17.
"We are incredibly proud to be backing this historic bodyboarding event on the south coast. Sponsoring this event during peak holiday season at a prime location is a perfect fit for our brand Anytime Holiday Rentals which is proud to offer accommodation in 200 resorts countrywide," commented Neville Beekman, Director of the Beekman Group which consists of Anytime Holiday Rentals, The Holiday Club, Body Bliss Spas and the Beekman Management Portfolio.
The Anytime Holiday Rentals Xtreme Bodyboarding Showdown boasts R10 000 in cash for first place. Entries have been pouring in and current SA bodyboarding champion and World Tour campaigner, Mark McCarthy (Richards Bay), has confirmed his place in the event. McCarthy will be amongst the favorites tipped to win but will face a strong challenge from the South Coast locals who recently won the team trophy at the SA Bodyboarding Championships held in Durban. McCarthy will arrive home fresh from competing at an IBA World Tour Event in the Canary Islands in early December.
The event will be held on the single best day of surf in the waiting period from December 13 to 17. It is set to be the most core bodyboarding event held in South Africa with the contest area extending from Port Edward in the south all the way to Scottburgh in the north. The specific surf breaks have not been named in order to protect their status as "secret spots". The organizers and Anytime Holiday Rentals will ensure that the contest takes place in the most perfect surf possible at the most extreme location; most of the riders will see and surf the chosen surf break for the first time on the day of the event.
"Traditionally bodyboarders have been the pioneers of world's most extreme surf breaks. We plan to put our sport in the media spotlight at the forefront of extreme water-sports where it deserves to be," commented bodyboarding event organizer Martin Otto.
